In case you haven’t heard, election season isn’t over yet.
Both Senate seats from Georgia are still up for grabs since none of the candidates received over 50% of the votes back in November. The Senate currently sits at 50 Republicans, 46 Democrats and two independents, so these final runoff elections will be a big deal when it comes to passing law for at least the next six years.
And since Georgia’s the last state to have its Senate races called, you should get out there to vote, right? We decided to hit the streets of Atlanta again and ask the people whether these elections are important to them.
Early voting has already started and will end, for most polling locations, on Wednesday, December 30.
Jan. 5, 2021 is the actual date of the runoff elections, so make sure you get out there and do your civic duty!
